ESCO mpv’s full name is Kongsberg Esco mpv and was established in 2010. The major owner
is Kongsberg Esco AS which have been working with valves for more than 130 years, both for
marine and onshore. ESCO mpv is using the expertise, production and test facilities from
Kongsberg Esco and is placed in the same offices .

2SV - the new valve concept


2SV is a completely new valve concept, combining the advantages of a gate valve with the
principle of a globe valve. The design gives an unexpected array of possibilities for use.
The valve is perfect to use as a sea water inlet valve for floaters, as 5 years classification can
be performed on board the vessel without dismantling the valve from the pipeline.
Also maintainance/repair of the valve has the same advantages and can be performed by the
crew on board without interrupting the flow thru the valve.

No need for divers or taking the vessel ashore

The valve can be delivered as a Double Block & Bleed valve. One 2SV valve gives you the
function of three conventional valves, saving space and giving safer operation. 2SV is not only
a valve, it is a complete valve system! No need for external actuator. All you have to do is connect
the control signal, hydraulic or electric, or operate it manually.

Compared to gate valves, it gives you the lowest valve ever, but with more advantages:

• no actuator on the top, low height.

• control signal connections on the side.

• building length between flanges: ( FTF) according to ISO standard 5752 for double flanged bf.valves.
